Today's post HAD to be about her. After Carine Rotfield laid down the crown of editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, I think almost all the fashion world was wondering who would take over from her. And today the breaking news: Emmanuelle Alt. Previously Fashion Director of Vogue Paris, Emmanuelle doesn't miss an outfit. And how could she? Coming from the stylish Lubeck School, she has some pedigree schoolmates such as  Cécilia Sarkozy, Caroline Deroche of Givenchy and Victoire de Castellane of Dior. Her husband Franck Durand is artistic director for Isabel Marant. What else? Stunning style, mixing some rock'n'roll leather jackets with more ladylike pointy toe boots and the basics: very simple tees, tank tops and unfalling black skinny jeans. Well, I'm looking forward to see her on the job.

Dopo che Carine Rotfield ha deposto lo scettro di editor-in-chief di Vogue Paris, immagino che quasi tutto il mondo della moda si stesse arrovellando per cercare di indovinare chi avrebbe preso il suo posto. E oggi la notizia: Emmanuelle Alt. Prima Fashion Director di Vogue Paris, Emmanuelle non sbaglia un outfit. E come potrebbe? Uscita dalla superglamour Lubeck School, e con compagne di classe con il pedigree come Cecilia Sarkozy, Caroline Deroche di Givenchy e Victorie de Castellane di Dior, suo marito è niente meno che il direttore artistico per Isabel Marant. Che altro? Stile superlativo, un mix tra giacche di pelle di gusto rock'n'roll e più eleganti stivali a punta con i capi basic: magliette e canotte molto semplici e gli immancabili skinny jeans neri. Che dire? Non vedo l'ora di vederla all'opera.

Here is what I wore for New Year's Eve. Actually I didn't wanna be too elegant because I had a very informal party with some friends but I wanted to wear my brand new top from Love Sex Money so badly that I didn't care that much about the result anymore.

Anyway that's my first post in 2011 since I've been so emotionally busy (my boyfriend left Italy to come back to Cali where he's studying. I just wanted to wish everyone a very special 2011. Follow your dreams, never forget that you are special, unique; there's nothing you can't do. Focus on flowers, not on weeds. You can build up your life, don't be scared of not being enough in any field. That's the only way to stop yourself. 

I wish you an amazing new year and lots of magical things.

Qui c'è cosa ho indossato per l'ultimo dell anno. In realtà non volevo essere troppo elegante dal momento che i miei amici hanno organizzato una festa molto informale. Però volevo assolutamente indossare il mio nuovo top di Love Sex Money per cui non mi sono più interessata del risultato. 

Comunque, questo è il mio primo post del 2011 poichè sono stata molto occupata emozionalmente (il mio ragazzo è tornato in California dove sta studiando, dopo essere stato qui per le vacanze). Seguite i vostri sogni, non dimenticate che siete speciali, unici; non c'è nulla che non possiate fare. Concentratevi sui fiori, non sulle erbacce. Potete costruire la vostra vita, non abbiate paura di non essere abbastanza in qualsiasi campo vi troviate. Questo è l'unico modo per abbattervi e sconfiggervi. Auguro a tutti un anno fantastico e pieno di cose magiche

diary: Christmas

Hi everyone!! How are you? Did you have a great time for Christmas? I am sorry for my hUge lack of posts but this year it's crazy, lots of exams and things to do. Hope to have more time the next year (so weird to me to say the next year but we are so close!!). Here some pics of the last days: the first ones are from my boyfriend's birthday. In the morning I woke him up with his favourite breakfast, cereals and milk and in the evening we had a delicious dinner at Sakura, a japanese restaurant. The others are from Christmas'Eve and Christmas Day. I had such a sweet time with my family and I hope you all did the same. Christmas has really something magic to me and I have good memories of it since I was a kid, even if very different every year. For exemple, the past year I spent Christmas in California with my boyfriend and some relatives I have there. Lovely time too(especially for temperature!!).

What are you gonna do for New Year's Eve? My boyfriend and I don't know yet, but every year is like this to me. I never know what to do till the last minute: a curse :D Have a nice day you all!

Ciao a tutti! Come state? Avete passato un buon Natale? Mi scuso per la mia enorme assenza ma quest'anno è da pazzi, un sacco di verifiche e cose da fare. Spero di avere più tempo l'anno prossimo (strano dire l'anno prossimo ma siamo così vicini alla fine di questo!). Alcune foto degli ultimi giorni: le prime sono del compleanno del mio ragazzo. L'ho svegliato la mattina con la sua colazione preferita, cereali e latte e la sera abbiamo cenato divinamente in un ristorante giapponese, Sakura. Le altre sono della Vigilia di Natale e del giorno di Natale. Dei giorni davvero belli con la mia famiglia e spero siano stati tali anche per voi. Il Natale ha davvero qualcosa di magico e ho dei bei ricordi di questa festa sin da quando ero piccola, anche se per me è cambiata molto ogni anno. Ad esempio, l'anno scorso l'ho trascorso in California con il mio ragazzo e alcuni parenti che vivono li. Bellissimo anche quello (specialmente per la temperatura!!).

Cosa farete per Capodanno? Noi non ne abbiamo ancora idea, ma per me ogni anno è così. Non so mai cosa farò fino all'ultimo, una maledizione :D Una buona giornata a tutti!!
